The Beehive Foundation is the newest branch of The Hive. As part of the initial goal for The Beehive Learning Center, Ms. Lily seeks to change the view on education in Antigua by providing a place where children learn whilst feeling loved, comfortable and cared for. Through The Hive, I would like to be able to reach children in Antigua of all ages, backgrounds, need requirements and more.
As a mother to a daughter who lost her father, and who was born with a congenital heart defect requiring open heart surgery, it allows me to see life from a different perspective. Knowing there are other families in Antigua who have also faced challenges similar to ours, it is my dream to be able to shine a light where I can and where needed.
The Beehive Foundation will help grow The Beehive Learning Center to a place that can do just that,
After all, we are a community. Our children are our future, we must continue to love and nurture them, provide a positive environment for them to grow, and guide them in the right direction. We are our brothers/sisters keeper.
Beehive Baby
For our First Anniversary, we have 'Adopted' a Beehive Baby. Our Beehive Baby is a child from our local community who's family would benefit from The Hive's childcare, but who also may not be in the position to comfortably afford it. Whilst at The Hive, The Beehive Foundation will fund the child's diapers & wipes, creams & powder, meals, formula, uniform (where applicable) and cover 50% of the fees. The family and child will remain anonymous.

Heart Month
Heart Month falls in the month of February. It is a month to raise awareness and assist those families who's child(ren) were born with a Heart defect. This cause is extremely close to Ms. Lily's heart, granted her daughter Rosie was born with a major Heart defect, Tetralogy of the Fallot. In Antigua, support, awareness and treatment for children and their families that have a heart condition is slim-to-none. Consultations and treatment must be done overseas at a very high cost. During February each year, The Beehive Foundation, through The Beehive Learning Center, will do a variety of initiatives to support local heart families.

Youth Club
Our Youth Outreach is still small at the moment. We plan on growing the programme to reach all children that attend secondary school. Having a center that caters to their educational journey whilst also giving them a safe, constructive place to be in their after-school hours is a goal we are currently working toward. The center would provide extra-curricula activities, social space, mentors and academic tutoring on a daily basis. Antigua's youth need guidance, support, positive role models, assistance and most importantly LOVE. Beehive WILL create that, with your help.

Special Educational Needs
Since opening The Hive, we have become more and more aware of the amount of children who's learning needs require additional support. The atmosphere and curriculum used at The Hive has proven to be successful and supportive of those children and we would love to be able to offer a specialised programme and space within our center to more families. Our SEN programme would include a specialised classroom that has a diverse set of sensory and academic resources, full time staff, one-on-one sessions with trained professionals & training for all Beehive Staff.
